Design & Build: Pre-Construction Manager

Based in Bath, our creative crew work on a range of commercial design and build projects, from bespoke office fit-outs to multi-million pound building refurbishments.

As a Pre-Construction Manager with us, you'll have a number of years experience in the design & build industry, perhaps as a Project or Contract Manager, with a keen eye for detail, ability to foresee potential issues and a comprehensive understanding of technical aspects of the construction process. You'll be capable of driving and leading the pre-construction phase of a project life cycle, client facing and able to competently manage both internal and external stakeholders. You won't shy from a challenge, will identify and navigate risks, and will relish finding opportunities for improvement and problem solving.
You'll be responsible for leading pre-contract administration & project management activities, with an ability to do so on behalf of Interaction to deliver multiple projects simultaneously, always aspiring to client delight. This will include managing the development of budgets, quality provisioning, project strategy, planning, aligning commercial proposition, and tracking both pre-construction, design and construction programme activities.
Communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. You will be managing both internal and external stakeholders, supply chain partner engagement to explore best value opportunities, Client side consultants communications and direct communications with our Clients and key accounts.
You'll have an excellent grasp of Microsoft Excel and construction project finance management. As well as a proven ability of leading by example and leading from the front, finding the right path and bring everyone on the journey with you to get a project into Contract that has mitigated identifiable risks and is robust in scope coverage and value for money.
You'll also have a good understanding and awareness of industry regulations, including H&S responsibilities, and a good working understanding of JCT based contracts.

Salary: £45k-£55k subject to relevant experience.
